SJEC
St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka State, and is recognized by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. SJEC is registered under the trust “Diocese of Mangalore, Social Action Department”.
Established in 2002, the College offers top class education in Engineering, Business Administration and Computer Applications at UG, PG and Research levels. It has well qualified staff, state of the art laboratories and all facilities. Presently about 2300 students are studying in the College.
The College provides for a wide variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities which give a head-start to students, developing their personality and imparting skills of decision- making and leadership. Campus Placement Department assists student’s secure good jobs.
The Campus is always buzzing with activities! Apart from quality academics, students find a plethora of opportunities to explore their natural talents and interests. The institution aims to ensure holistic development of its students through exposure to opportunities, infrastructural support, mentorship and support. A team of committed faculty engage the students in their academic pursuits with interesting pedagogy, active-learning, and student-centric teaching approaches.
Together with academic excellence, students are encouraged to develop innovative solutions for societal problems and pursue entrepreneurship activities that are in line with regional, national, and international objectives. With an active and policy driven incubation center, students are able to gain exposure and support from ideation to prototype leading to business development with IPR support.
